Music Ministry

Grace Church’s Music Ministry is led by Dr. Todd Edward Ranney.  He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Ohio State University, and received additional training at The Cleveland Institute of Music, and Drake University.  For more information about Dr. Ranney, visit our “Staff” page and his Facebook page–https://www.facebook.com/todd.e.ranney.

In addition to leading the Grace Church choir (currently suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic), Todd had organized and led performances at Grace PCA or a sister church in Hudson, featuring musicians drawn from within and beyond our congregation.  These include:

June 8th, 2019: Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and Te Deum in Hudson, Ohio, was performed at Grace Presbyterian Church, 781 Terex Rd., Ohio.  The concert was free and open to the public and featured chorus, orchestra and soloists.

December 15, 2018: Hudson Messiah Chorus performed Handel’s Messiah at Redeemer Presbyterian Church PCA in Hudson, Ohio.  The concert was free and open to the public and featured chorus, orchestra and soloists.

December 16, 2017 and December 14, 2019: Hudson Messiah Chorus performed Handel’s Messiah at Grace PCA in Hudson, Ohio.  These concerts were free and open to the public and featured chorus, orchestra and soloists.

The Hudson Messiah Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Todd E. Ranney, will hold its fourth annual performance of Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m.  The performance  will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church.
