The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is a family of churches committed to faithfully teaching God’s Word, living out the good news of Jesus Christ, and carrying that message to the world. Formed in 1973, the PCA was established to be faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission. These commitments shape everything we do—from how we worship, to how we care for one another, to how we engage our communities with the hope of the gospel.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God—our final authority in faith and life. Our beliefs are grounded in the historic Christian faith and summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, trusted statements that have guided Reformed churches for centuries.pel.
At the heart of the PCA is the gospel—the good news that Jesus Christ came to redeem sinners and restore us to God. Every PCA church seeks to be both reformed (continually shaped by God’s Word) and revived (alive through the work of the Holy Spirit). We want to see hearts renewed, communities transformed, and Christ glorified in all things.
Each PCA congregation is led by elders chosen by the members, and together, these churches form regional groups called Presbyteries. Representatives from each Presbytery gather each year for the General Assembly, where we pray, plan, and partner in mission work, church planting, and theological integrity. This structure helps us stay united, accountable, and focused on Christ’s kingdom.
The PCA isn’t about denominational labels—it’s about a shared commitment to the truth of Scripture and the grace of Jesus Christ. We believe God is at work through the local church to bring lasting hope to the world, and we’re grateful to be part of that story.
