Welcome to Grace Presbyterian Church

Join with us as celebrate the momentous events of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection:

Palm Sunday: On Sunday, March 27, 2021, we will commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  Matthew 21:1–9 (ESV).  Please join us in worship at our Sunday morning service at 10:30 p.m.

Maundy Thursday: “Maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum, or commandment, reflecting Jesus’ words at the Last Supper, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”  John 13:34 (ESV).

Good Friday: After his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane and show trials, Jesus was crucified at Golgotha.  Jesus’ final words were “It is finished,” a translation of the Greek word tetelestai.  John 19:30 (ESV).  The Greek word tetelestai is an accounting term meaning paid in full.  Please join us in worship at our Good Friday service on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Easter: We will celebrate Easter on April 4, 2021.  “Christ the Lord is risen today.  Hallelujah.”   There are two possible burial sites in Jerusalem.  A Scottish docent at the Garden Tomb raised the most important point, “Whether here or there, the tomb is empty.”  Please join us in worship at our Sunday morning service at 10:30 p.m.

The Great Commission After his resurrection, Jesus was seen by many, including more than 500 people at one time.  1 Cor. 15:6 (ESV).  One appearance is recounted in Matthew 28, where Jesus instructed his disciples “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20 (ESV).

Pentecost: Jesus promised his disciples that they would “receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”  Acts 1:8 (ESV).  Forty days later, He fulfilled that promise when “the Day of Pentecost had fully come ….”  Acts 2:1 (ESV).  Join us for worship on Pentecost Sunday at our morning service on May 23, 2021 at 10:30 am.
